Announcing the final organizations joining us for tonight's Omaha Table Talk Kick-off!✨Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing advocates to create opportunities and access for all by raising awareness through collaboration. ✨UNO Criss Library: Archives and Special Collections acquires and preserves unique, rare, and specialized materials. Meet a few of our wonderful community organizations sharing space with us this Wednesday at our Omaha Table Talk Kick-off!✨Tri-Faith Initiative: Tri-Faith provides opportunities to gather across differences as neighbors, as well as educational programming that invites curiosity around the full spectrum of how people relate to religion differently. They're making religious pluralism a social norm by convening diverse communities, encouraging candid conversations, and building bold partnerships to fill critical gaps.✨Black & Pink National: Black & Pink National is a prison abolitionist organization dedicated to dismantling the criminal punishment system and the harm caused to LGBTQ people and people living with HIV who are affected by the system through advocacy, support, and organizing.✨Omaha Alternatives to Violence Project: Omaha Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is a prison-based, nonviolence program and self-sustaining chapter of AVP-USA. AVP offers guidance, support and workshops based on the belief that there is a power in each of us that is able to transform violent and destructive situations into liberating and constructive experiences and cooperative behaviors.
